Decision on Walcott’s return to be taken soon, claims Ancelotti

Theo Walcott will not be returning to play for Everton when the match resumes after a three-month long break. He was absent in the match against Liverpool or any other matches in the current season due to his muscle injury. Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti will be deciding the team without Walcott like many other players who have been ruled out due to injury.

Walcott believes that he is ahead of the schedule on his road to recovery. He talked with talkSPORT regarding his injury. In the period of the lockdown, the team was given many workout sessions and on his third day,he wasn’t feeling well and had soon done his Hernia surgery. He is back on the gym and is doing pretty well. He said he is recovering well and is little restless on not playing football after such a long break.

Walcott also spoke about how the new coach Ancelotti has helped him alter his match into a better perspective. With the arrival of the new manager, Everton has positive changes in them and is better than in the past games.

The 31-year-old said that playing as wingers he has learned a lot and how to play in and out on the pitch. He is the kind of player who likes to run behind the ball and likes to make the ball look good.

“The boss has influenced us wingers to come inside a bit more and play off each other, to try and get in the pockets, and always keep on the move. It’s important to always keep your full back thinking, if he’s coming in short he’s going to spin or drop off.”

Walcott also talked about how strange it will be to play without any fans. It’s really a bit disappointing the fans cannot join them after a long time without any football but the current situation demands everyone to stay home and be safe which he thinks is the right reason.

Even though there isn’t anyone to encourage ones to play the team knows that victory means a lot to the club and the fans. They will be giving their best to the game and he believes that Everton can still move up from their current position.
