Theo Walcott wants the next few years to be the best of his career

Theo Walcott is one of those players who displayed huge talent at a very young age and this was evidenced by the fact that he managed to get into the main team of Southampton at the young age of 16. One year later and Walcott was transferred to Arsenal as he entered the Emirates Stadium and still hasn’t left.

Walcott is now 26 year old and he has a 14 month old son who has already been displaying signs of turning into a football player but Walcott believes that this is the time for him to fully develop into a complete player who can help out Arsenal in winning the Premier League title and also push England to success.

Arsenal’s Walcott said: “If I want to be known as one of the great players, I need to perform for England and Arsenal on a consistent basis. It’s been a gradual process to get here, but these have to be my years. I’m at the age where I need to push on, without a doubt. I’ve got to take my Arsenal form into England matches, which will be a big step for me. My career has all been patches. It hasn’t been at a consistent level. I know that in myself.’’

The 26 year old English attacker wants to become into one of the greats of the sport and this is one of the methods that Walcott is hoping to utilize in order to inspire his son in becoming a player and creating his own name as well as legacy in the world of football.

Finlay is the son of Theo Walcott and he has already been displaying signs of a promising player and Walcott has even showed a clip of Finlay to Arsene Wenger and it showed the young boy volleying a ball with an impressive technique and the French manager of Arsenal replied by saying: ’’ Who is his agent?’’
