Arsenal is preparing a contract for Walcott to keep him at the Emirates Stadium for 5 more years

Theo Walcott is one of the top earners of Arsenal as well as being one of the players who has performed in less matches than anyone else due to an injury that kept him in the sidelines of the team for a lengthy period of time but despite this, Arsenal wants to keep the player and are believed to be preparing a new contract that would keep Walcott at the Premier League club for at least 5 more years.

Walcott is eager on remaining with Arsenal as the English midfielder stated that he wants to form an attacking partnership with Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez was signed by Arsenal on July of 2014 for a transfer fee in the region of €35 million but Walcott and Sanchez have not been able to perform consistently together due to the injury of the Englishman but Walcott is hoping that once he returns, they will be able to play alongside each other on a regular basis and help out Arsenal in their attacking department.

‘’He’s a special player. It’s great to finally get on the pitch with him and I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more appearances of me and him together. It’s amazing to be back. It’s been a year now; it was good to blow cobwebs away. I’m not putting too much pressure on myself. It was nice to get a start and as long as I’m getting in those chances I’m pleased.’’ This is what Theo Walcott said after performing for Arsenal back in January 4 of 2015 when his club played against Hull City in the FA Cup and won 2-0.

It seems like Walcott still remains being an important player for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal even with his recent injuries that have been crippling the 26 year English midfielder so much recently.
