Theo Walcott To Return To The National Team

Manager of the England national football team Roy Hodgson, will presumably include Theo Walcott in the national team.

Walcott’s knee injury didn’t let him play football for nine months and he very recently resumed playing but didn’t get to play much yet but he was selected for the national team nevertheless.

Walcott played for Arsenal in the last ten minutes of the match against Burnley which took place on Saturday, 1st November. Arsenal won the match 3-0. Arsene Wenger, manager of Arsenal said that Roy Hodgson should be very careful about using Walcott if he is included in the national team. Wenger supports Walcott’s return to the national team. He thinks that playing international matches would help Walcott improve his performance.

Oxlade Chamberlain is also very happy about Walcott returning to the national team. He said that Walcott has played a big role in his career after he joined Arsenal. Chamberlain said that he was very sad to see Walcott not being able to play on account of being injured. He also said that Walcott is a major source of inspiration for him. Chamberlain regards Walcott as his mentor.

Chamberlain said that Walcott never let any sort of negativity get the better of him during that period so he deserves to get success more than anyone else. Theo Walcott said that to be able to make a comeback after suffering such a serious injury is indeed a very emotional experience for him. He said that even though it feels great to be able to play after such a long time, he will take care not to strain himself. He said that he will contribute to the best of his ability for his team but he regards patience to be a key requisite. Walcott said that above all he wants to enjoy playing the game.
