Walcott Expected In September

Theo Walcott is reaching the final stages of his recovery as the Englishman is expected to return into the first team of Arsene Wenger in September after having missed out from playing with his club for around 6 months. The agile winger has already managed to participate and work alongside his teammates in a few training sessions without much intensity and Walcott has already gotten the chance to know some of the new players that he will be playing close by with one of them being Alexis Sanchez who was signed by Arsenal with a transfer fee of €32 million.

Having already had the chance to get to know Sanchez, Walcott expressed his excitement to be playing and working with the former player of Barcelona.

The English winger, Walcott said: ‘’Sanchez is a world-class player and I enjoyed watching him play for Barcelona and for Chile at the World Cup. He’s still very young as well and he is going to show so much pace and power, which we lacked a bit last year. With me and him on the flanks, a lot of teams won’t be looking forward to playing Arsenal this year’’

He added: ‘There’s a great buzz around the club at the moment. He is a marquee signing and something that the club has pushed on to: first you had Mesut Ozil and now it is Alexis Sanchez. Who knows where it is going to stop? It is great to learn from these players, and I cannot wait to play alongside him. I am really looking forward to it’’

Walcott is hoping that with his explosive speed combined with the pace of Alexis Sanchez will make it easier for Arsenal to defeat opponents and score goals faster.
