NOT ENOUGH TIME

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott recently suggested that he is unhappy at the playing time he is receiving out wide on the pitch, and he would like to play more centrally in order to score goals. The future of the star winger was only recently started after he managed to agree to a three-year contract with Arsenal. He would have been able to leave on a free had he not signed the deal. Walcott is having one of his impressive seasons since becoming a professional. He has managed to score 19 goals in all competitions for Arsenal.

Recently, he said that he wants to achieve the 20 goal mark as soon as possible, but he is not getting the opportunities to do so because he is playing out wide.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has responded to the statement by saying that he is considering every possibility, but he has to make a decision that will benefit the team. He has said that the position of Walcott on the pitch is not important for him, but the performance is what matters. Walcott is thought to have made a striker’s position as one of his important requirements when signing a new contract a few months ago.

Arsenal have been on a good run of form in recent weeks, and Walcott tops the charts when it comes to sales of autographed arsenal merchandise.

“I consider every single option. I believe what is most important is the balance of the team. That Walcott plays right or plays central is not a big difference for me. What is important is how you contribute to the team and how good your performance is. What is important is how well Arsenal does. We have been strong away from home and we had a good stability. Chelsea is in front of us and we play catch-back,” said Wenger ahead of the match with QPR.
