STAYING AT ARSENAL

Theo Walcott has said that he is not going to join any other club this summer. There have been rumors that Walcott might leave Arsenal this summer. But, Walcott said that the talks are going on between the club and his agent and the club might extend his contract. On being asked whether the rumors about his transfer disturb him, Walcott said that he doesn’t get disturbed by such rumors. As per Walcott, he is an honest man and concentrates on his current job. Currently, he is an Arsenal player and he is fully committed to the club.

On being asked about Arsene Winger, the manager of the club, Walcott said that Winger is a wonderful coach. He shows faith in the players. If a player is going through a tough phase, Winger gives him a lot of confidence and helps him in regaining his form. He is very supportive in nature and the players respect him a lot. Walcott signed for Arsenal in 2006. Walcott’s first match for Arsenal was against Aston Villa. He scored his first goal for Arsenal against Chelsea in the final of the League Cup 2007. But, unfortunately, Arsenal lost that match.

Walcott performed quite well for Arsenal in the last season. He played in 35 matches and scored 8 goals for the club. He is a key member of the Arsenal squad. Walcott is in Malaysia at the moment with the Arsenal team. He said that he is not paying much attention on the transfer rumors. Whenever the transfer window opens, people start talking about the transfer of players. But, it is important for a player to ignore such rumors.

On being asked about the team’s chances in the upcoming season, Walcott said that the team has got quite a lot of experienced players. The players are dedicated to perform well this season and give a strong answer to the critics.
